A team of students from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) has developed a revolutionary transportation concept. The 'Avishkar Hyperloop' project, created by 50 students, could change the way we travel. Facinating?
The hyperloop concept gained momentum in popular culture after Elon Musk popularised it. The idea of this high-speed transportation system was picked up by Musk and the SpaceX team who described it as a transportation project with capsules supported by air-bearings in low-pressure environment inside a tube.
The system is capable of covering 350km in just 30 minutes! The team's innovative idea has received praise from India's Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and secured funding from the Ministry of Railways for their indigenous hyperloop proposal. Congratulations!!
