In Germany, they calculated how many prostitutes work in local intimate salons on a legal basis, and how many of them are citizens of other countries. The statistics included Ukrainian individuals who regularly travel to other countries to earn money. For example, according to analysts at the website, more than 3 thousand girls of easy virtue with Ukrainian citizenship officially work abroad.

Assessment of the German intimate industry

Prostitution has been legal in Germany for more than 20 years, and every year government analysts assess the development of the erotic segment, the profits it brings and the number of registered whores. At the end of 2020, 40,400 prostitutes officially worked in the country, including 278 Russians, 276 Ukrainians and 61 girls from Belarus.

The largest number of prostitutes were Romanians - 15,000 people, which is 35% of the total. In second place are German women - 7,700 individuals (19%), and third place is occupied by Bulgarians with a figure of 4,300 people (11%). However, these statistics do not include girls and guys who provide sex services illegally, picking up clients on the streets or working in underground brothels. According to preliminary estimates, there are over 400,000 sex workers in Germany, 15% of whom ended up in the intimate industry against their will and do not have the opportunity to complain to law enforcement agencies, since their documents were taken away and their freedom of movement was restricted.
