Biochemical HCG Structure
Belonging to the glycoprotein hormone family, HCG is a peptide hormone produced by trophoblast tissue at extremely high concentrations. HCG is made up of two subunits (α and β) that are not covalently connected. The β-subunit is specialized for HCG and has 145 amino acids, whereas the α-subunit has 95 amino acids and is also a component of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). The glycosylation variation of HCG known as hyperglycosylated HCG is generated by extravillous and root cytotrophoblast cells.
With its sophisticated and expensive equipment and highly skilled scientists, Creative Biolabs is a top-notch supplier of services for tumor marker assay. We introduce our HCG assay portfolio service, which can be utilized in targeted cancer therapy and diagnosis, after many years to completely understand tumor markers. We shall then go over the HCG assay portfolio service in more detail.
